The Hibees are back at Hampden again, reaching the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup for the third consecutive season.

We take on Hearts in the semi-final on Saturday (kick-off at 12:15pm), the second time we will face our Edinburgh rivals in as many weeks.

Shaun Maloney's side fell to a disappointing 3-1 defeat last weekend at Tynecastle. After taking an early lead through Drey Wright, the Jambos fought back and took control of the second half.

Speaking to Hibs TV ahead of our Scottish Cup Semi-Final, Clarke told us how the boys were using last weekend's defeat as motivation.

"Obviously last weekend's result was a kick in the teeth. We were nowhere near our best, particularly in the second but we have picked ourselves up and everyone is looking forward to the weekend. We have a big opportunity to put last week's result right on Saturday.

“People say that form doesn’t matter in big games like this and I agree. When it is a derby and a semi-final everything changes.

"It helps that we have played them last week because we know how we can exploit them.

“At the weekend, we learned about how we can hurt them and also how they can hurt us. Now it is about nullifying their strengths and exploiting their weaknesses. We have worked out what we need to do, so it's up to us to go out and perform."

Clarke has been a stand-out performer since he returned from injury earlier this month. The versatile defender grabbed a goal and the Man of the Match award on his debut against Dundee United and has enjoyed being back on the pitch, no matter what position.

“It is nice to be back out on the pitch, I feel really good and I think my performances have been good. I just need to get that first win now and Saturday is the perfect time to get that.

“I said to the Gaffer when I first came in that I would play wherever he wanted to play me and he has certainly done that!

"I came as a centre-back or right-back and now I’m at LWB. To be honest, wherever I am on the pitch I will do my best. I can't wait to be out there again on Saturday."
