We were knocked out of the Scottish Cup after losing 2-1 to Hearts at Hampden earlier this afternoon.
After conceding two early goals, we got ourselves back into the game when Chris Cadden fired home after 22 minutes.
Despite having several opportunities to draw level, we were unable to capitalise and ultimately fell short.
Hibs defender Lewis Stevenson admits the defeat is a bitter pill to swallow.
"It is frustrating, you hate getting beat by your rivals, especially in a semi-final so it is a hard one to take.
“We didn’t get off to a great start. They scored with two moments of quality, two unbelievable finishes. Unlike last week, we showed resilience and got ourselves back into the game and after our goal I thought we were the better team.
"In the second half, Craig Gordon made an unbelievable save to keep it level. These are the small margins that didn’t go our way on the day."
Shaun Maloney's side left everything out on the pitch and that fight and desire evident from the boys in green and white.
"All the fans ask for is a bit of fight – we showed that today. The Gaffer asked us to play on the edge and we did that today, we came out on top in ours 50s.
"The sending off changed the game a wee bit but the way we were playing we were committing to every tackle and in the end, like I said before, it comes down to small margins."
The Hibees have five games left of the season and Stevenson has urged his teammates to use the remainder of the campaign to restore some pride.
"These last five games can put us in good stead for next season - we need to finish as high as we possibly can this season. We need to show our graft and determination and show how much it means to play for this Club.
"We will make sure we put in that level commitment and work rate that we showed today for the rest of the season."
