His Hibees travel to the Tony Macaroni Stadium on Saturday (30 April, 2022) for the 3pm kick-off and he’s been provided with a boost as the wide-man is available for selection.
Mitchell hasn’t featured since mid-February after he picked up an ankle injury against Arbroath in the Scottish Cup; he scored that day.
The wing-back isn’t the only player back available for Gray this weekend.
“Demetri has been back in training for a couple of days so it’s great to have him back in the squad.
“We’ve also got Darren McGregor back, he’s been training, so it’s good we’re getting some bodies back into the group at this time of the season; it’ll help lift the players and keep competition for places.”

Supporters may have noticed McGregor donning the black ‘coaches’ kit at St Mirren last weekend.
When speaking to Hibs TV, Gray explained how valuable it is to have Daz in and around the dressing room.
“He’s trained all week and did a couple of days last week too, but the St. Mirren game just came too soon for him.
“I think it’s important to have people like Daz involved on matchdays, as he’s such a big personality, a leader, a model professional, and he’s a big asset to have at the club.”

There were two doubts over Chris Cadden and James Scott too after the weekend’s win as they came off with knocks.
“Cadds, unfortunately, won’t be available, the game has come a little bit soon for him. His thigh has settled down quickly, which is really positive, but we will see how he goes moving forward.
“James, as expected, had a little bit of cramp and fatigue because he’s not played many minutes, so to go and put two big shifts in back-to-back was great for him. He’s trained all week and is absolutely fine.”
