After a confident win at the weekend, the wee Hibees will be looking to carry their momentum into their midweek clash with Rangers.

Four first-half goals coming from Reece Holden, Ethan Laidlaw and Jackson Innes put the U18s in a comfortable position against St Mirren, before Josh Landers added a fifth in the second half to wrap up a convincing 5-2 victory on Friday night. CLICK HERE to read the full match report!

After narrow defeats to Hamilton Academical and Dundee United in the opening two CAS Elite Youth League fixtures, Gareth Evans' side picked up an important three points at a vital time ahead of three big matches against Rangers, Celtic and Hearts in the coming weeks.

In addition, the wee Hibees have the UEFA Youth League competition to look forward to. Having been crowned domestic champions in the 2021/22 season, the U18s secured their spot in the UEFA Youth League qualifiers.

The draw takes place on Wednesday 31 August when the young Hibees will find out who they will face in the opening round.

THE VISITORS

Rangers will come into this fixture full of confidence after they beat their Glasgow rivals Celtic 3-1 last time out.

That was their first victory of the campaign having lost their opening fixture 4-3 to Hamilton Academical.
