The mid-season non-competitive fixture provided a crucial opportunity to Hibs manager Lee Johnson to get his squad up to match fitness ahead of the return of cinch Premiership football.
Johnson made only one change from the side that faced Middlesbrough in Leith two weeks prior, with Kyle Magennis drafted into midfield.
That meant that striker Kevin Nisbet started again up top following his comeback from an ACL injury, as the Scotland international stepped up his gametime in a strong XI for the Hibees.
Playing time was also handed to Aiden McGeady in the second half, his first appearance in four months, while a number of Academy prospects also featured during the 90.

On a frost-covered turf early in the first half, Campbell gave Hibs the perfect start.
The 22 year-old midfielder, who has already netted five times for the Club this season, got the ball out of his feet around 30-yards from goal and fired a low shot that puzzled the Raith ‘keeper and found its way into the net.
A goal up, Hibs controlled the rest of the first half and threatened through Chris Cadden on the right, who looked to link up with Magennis and Harry McKirdy.
Centre-back Will Fish, on loan from Manchester United, looked assured once again in the heart of the Hibs defence.

At half-time, Lee Johnson made nine changes to get vital minutes into more of his players.
Youngster Kanayo Megwa was again given First Team experience, replacing Cadden at right-back, while Paul Hanlon, Ryan Porteous and Marijan Čabraja completed the new-look back-line.
Kevin Dąbrowski switched in for David Marshall between the sticks, while Nohan Kenneh, Ewan Henderson, Jair Tavares and Elias Melkersen were also introduced.
After the restart, Hibs’ dominance continued with Jair looking lively coming off the left edge.
The Portuguese winger beat his man several times to provide dangerous crosses into the box, with Melkersen meeting one on the volley to produce a save.

On the hour mark, McGeady came off the bench to make his first appearance since a knee injury ruled him out in July.
Minutes after coming on, the former Ireland international danced past a marker before curling an effort just wide of the target from the edge of the box.
Raith had a couple of half chances from distance but never tested Dąbrowski in the Hibs goal, while further opportunities fell to Mitchell and Melkersen for the hosts.
More Academy players were introduced late on, with Josh O’Connor and Oscar MacIntyre brought on for the closing stages.
Hibernian: Marshall (c) (Dąbrowski 45’), Cadden (Megwa 45’, O MacIntyre 85’), Fish (Porteous 45’), Rocky (Hanlon 45’), Stevenson (Čabraja 45’), Newell (Kenneh 45’), Magennis (Henderson 45’), Jair (Campbell 45’), Youan (Melkersen 45’, O’Connor 85’), McKirdy (McGeady 60’), Nisbet (Mitchell 60’).
