“Cup finals are the games that as a player, you want to be involved in. We just can’t wait for kick-off on Sunday.”

“Football is a game that brings a lot of highs, but also a lot of lows, I’ve certainly experienced a few in my career, but the vibe within the group is very good and positive.”

“The girls are looking forward to Sunday, but they are treating the week in the build-up as they would any other week. They’re focused and will be putting their hard work on the pitch.

While the previous game against Rangers ended in a narrow defeat, the experienced veteran is positive that the squad can replicate the heart and desire that the squad showed the last time both squads went head-to-head.

‘I think that game was a competitive game. We showed two sides to our game, but as a defender, our unit and structure was fantastic, we were hard to break down… and it took a set-piece to win the game, so we’ll take heartbreak from that and hopefully build from that on Sunday.”

The skipper also issued a call for fans to turn up to Tynecastle on Sunday to support the team in a similar fashion to the way they did a couple of weeks ago.

“You always speak about the twelfth player in football, it’s a kind of cliché, but it would be fantastic if we could get a lot of those eight-thousand plus fans that attended the game at Easter Road along again on Sunday.”
