Chris Cadden
Arguably the most successful number 12 since the introduction of squad numbers, Chris Cadden is the Club’s reigning Player of the Year – albeit that came off the back of a successful personal campaign wearing number 27.
Following a brief spell in the MLS, ‘Cadds’ returned to Scotland in January 2021 and started predominantly at right midfield before an injury stopped a strong run in the side.
After returning to full fitness Cadden went from strength-to-strength at right-back and went on to make 34 appearances during the 2021/22 campaign. He bagged his first goals for the Club, scoring against Dundee United, Livingston, and Hearts, and added three assists throughout the season.

After that campaign, he was named the Club’s Player of the Year writing his name into the history books.
So far this season he’s made 20 appearances, totting up three assists, which means in total he has 66 appearances for the Hibees – with hopefully many more to come!
Filipe Morais
After a successful trial period, Morais was signed by John Collins in the summer of 2007 and went on to make his debut in an Edinburgh Derby win at Tynecastle.
He opened his goalscoring account in his second start for the Hibees as they beat Queen’s Park and went on to make 32 appearances during the 2007/08 campaign; that goal was the first of two - the second came in a win over Killie.

The feisty winger continued to start at the beginning of the 2008/09 campaign, featuring in the UEFA Intertoto Cup, before leaving six months later to join Inverness CT.
After leaving Hibs he went on to feature for nine different clubs before retiring in December 2021.
Derek Townsley
A versatile player, who usually featured down the right hand-side for the Hibees, joined under Alex McLeish in July 2001.
He found his form under the guidance of Bobby Williamson and began to pop up with a few goals. He scored at Tynecastle – the first goal of the game – as we drew 4-4 in January 2003.

Townsley also bagged a brace at his old club Motherwell in August 2002 to seal our first win of that campaign.
Following the conclusion of his contract, he joined Oxford United. During his time at Easter Road, he made 52 appearances and scored nine goals.
