Lewis Stevenson (2005 – present)
A product of the Hibernian Youth Academy, Lewis Stevenson is one of our own.
The versatile defender made his debut back in 2005 aged 17 in the Scottish League Cup. Fast forward 17 years and Lewy has added a further 555 appearances to his name, ranking him fourth on the all-time appearance charts!
In that time, Stevenson has seen it and done it all with Hibs and remains the only player in the Club’s history to win both the League Cup and Scottish Cup.
Stevenson became a First Team regular under Hibs Manager John Collins and started the 2007 League Cup at the age of 19. In the final, he was deployed in midfield and was awarded Man of the Match in the 5-1 thrashing of Kilmarnock.

Throughout his career, Stevenson’s worth ethic, commitment and versatility have served him well. Now playing at left-back in his 17th full season with the Club, the 34-year-old has previously played left-midfield, centre-midfield and on occasion slotted in at right-back.
In the 2016 Scottish Cup Final, Stevenson once again played the full 90 minutes – this time on the left-hand-side of a back five as the Hibees triumphed over Rangers winning 3-2 thanks to David Gray’s last-minute header.

Stevenson was awarded the Hibernian FC Player’s Player of the Year Award at the end of last season (2021/22) and is an extremely likeable figure amongst the dressing room, staff and the Hibernian FC supporters.
Dirk Lehmann (1999 – 2001)
With Stevenson occupying the number 16 jersey for so many years, there are only a handful of others to wear the shirt in modern history – one of whom is German striker, Dirk Lehmann.
Lehmann joined the Hibees in 1999 from English Second Division side Fulham FC.
He made his debut on the opening day of the Scottish Premiership season (1990/00) scoring a brace in a 2-2 draw with Motherwell at Easter Road.
Lehmann went on to make 71 appearances during his two years with the Club, scoring 13 goals in total and left his mark on the Edinburgh Derby – scoring the opening goal in the “Millennium Derby” at Tynecastle, resulting in a 3-0 win for Hibs.

Billy Findlay (1989 – 1995)
Billy Findlay made over 100 appearances for Hibs during the late 1980s and early 90s.
The Kilmarnock-born midfielder played his whole Hibs career under Manager Alex Miller and was part of the squad that won the Scottish League Cup in 1991 that included the likes of Gordon Hunter, Willie Miller, Pat McGinlay, Micky Weir and Gareth Evans.
Findlay scored seven times for Hibs before returning to his hometown of Kilmarnock in 1995.
