The Hibees came out the blocks quickly but didn’t take their chances, before the Bhoys took control of the game.
After the 4-0 defeat, Josh Campbell spoke to Hibs TV.
“I’m disappointed. We started the game well and if we score in that first 10-15 minutes then it could’ve been a different story. Paul hit the post just before half-time and we went in 2-0 down.
“Celtic play at a high intensity, and I think the shock of us coming out the traps rattled them a little bit, but we needed to keep that intensity for the whole of the first half, then it could’ve been a different story.
“The first goal was a killer blow and it was hard coming back from that.”
Hibs have the chance to respond on 2 January when they face Hearts, a game that Campbell is looking forward to.
“We’ve got a game coming round quickly, the Derby, it’s a massive game for us, and we’re all looking forward to it.”
