THE LOWDOWN
We welcome St Mirren this Saturday at Easter Road on the back of a good performance midweek in the Edinburgh Derby against Hearts.
That point has left us just two points behind Motherwell who are in fourth place – they face Celtic at home on Sunday.
This game will be Shaun Maloney’s eighth in charge as he looks to gain his fourth win. His side have also recorded five clean sheets since his appointment.
Our opponents St Mirren are currently five points behind us in ninth. They drew 1-1 with Motherwell in their last outing with former Hibee Alex Gogic on the scoresheet. ‘Goga’ won’t be able to feature in this game as he’s on loan from us.

TEAM NEWS
Shaun Maloney is assessing the fitness of Paul Hanlon, Paul McGinn and Matt Macey ahead of this one. All three missed the midweek draw with Hearts through injury.
Alongside this, Josh Doig and Joe Newell both came off injured in the Edinburgh Derby. Shaun Maloney will provide an update on them in his press conference ahead of this game.
Finally, Kyle Magennis is also unavailable. He had a slight setback in a bounce game, which has delayed him from returning for a couple more weeks.
THE VISITORS
As mentioned above, St Mirren currently sit 9th in the cinch Premiership with 26 points from 23 games.
They have picked up as many points on the road as they have at home, however, they’ve actually won more games away from the SMiSA Stadium.
Since returning after the winter break, the Paisley club have remained unbeaten. They beat both Dundee United and Aberdeen before drawing at home to Motherwell.
Prior to the break, though, they went 11 games without a win, which saw them move down the cinch Premiership table.

Former wee Hibee Eamonn Brophy has been their standout man in front of goal scoring six goals, whilst Scott Tanser, Connor Ronan, and Greg Kiltie have been their best creators.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
We last faced St Mirren under the temporary guidance of David Gray in December 2021.
Josh Campbell’s first goal for Hibs was not enough to secure victory this afternoon as Joe Shaughnessy snatched a late equaliser in Paisley.
Despite a dominant performance we were unable to see out the closing stages.
We have drawn with St Mirren both times we’ve met them this season.
