The striker, who turned 19 on New Year’s Eve, has a terrific goalscoring record in Norway bagging 23 goals in 37 professional outings. Alongside that, he also grabbed the headlines at youth level for his national team.

Now on a new adventure, Elias is keen to show everyone what he’s all about.

“I'm really excited to come to a new country and a new club, and I'm looking forward to joining the team.

“You can expect goals and also a hardworking striker that bleeds for the Club. In my head I always want to score goals every game to help the team.

“I can play in all three positions upfront, so I am flexible, but mostly I like to play the main striker. I'm a goalscorer. I like to run a lot, and I give energy to the team.”

The 19-year-old has been a long-term target for Hibs, and he explained how the club’s passion, persistence, and Shaun Maloney’s style of play helped persuade him.

“They contacted me some months ago, I think. They were really positive, and they wanted me really bad.

“I've had a really good chat with the team, so that's why I wanted to come here.

“I had a really good chat with the manager. He talked about how he wanted to play, and he liked my attributes. It's funny, he called me on Christmas Eve right before the dinner, so it was important call!

“He said he also wanted to have like high pressing, and that's what I like. I like to run for the team.”
