Born on 27 March 2000 in Edinburgh, the attacking midfielder progressed through the Celtic academy and impressed at a young age. He won the Glasgow Cup in 2017, before featuring in the UEFA Youth League, the Scottish Challenge Cup and the Premier International Cup in the same year with older age groups.
Prior to this, he made his first steps into international football, making his Scotland U17 debut at the age of 16.
In 2018, his impressive performances in the Bhoys’ youth system were rewarded with his professional debut. The attacking midfielder replaced Patrick Roberts in the 82nd minute of a 0-0 draw with Kilmarnock at Celtic Park.
Further appearances off the bench followed before Henderson earned Man of the Match plaudits in his first start, a 4-1 win over Motherwell on 24 February 2019.
He continued to earn caps internationally too being selected for Billy Stark’s U19s and Scot Gemmill’s U21s.
First Team appearances continued for Ewan, both domestically and in Europe, before he went out on loan to Ross County and Dunfermline Athletic.
The talented youngster has only made one appearance this season for Celtic, scoring in their Europa League win against Real Betis, and could kickstart his campaign here at Hibernian FC.
