Rocky is a talented young defender with an abundance of pace, who fits Maloney’s agenda of playing exciting, attacking football which is built on a solid defensive foundation.

The twenty-two-year-old joins the Hibees on loan until the summer of 2022, with the option to extend for an additional year. Speaking to HibsTV Rocky explains where his career has taken him so far.

“I made my playing debut in 2017 for Oostende – a club on the coast of Belgium. From there I moved to Eupen on loan where I played under Claude Makélélé the former Chelsea player. Under Claude I had a great season and I was selected for the Belgium U21’s.”

Rocky signed for current English Premier League side, Norwich City in the Summer of 2019. In the same summer, he was selected to represent Belgium at UEFA European U21's Championships in Italy.

“The U21’s was an amazing experience, it was something that I will keep with me forever. We had a tough group with Spain, Italy and Poland so I got to play with some amazing players, play against some great players and work with excellent coaches too.”

Since then, Rocky has had several loan spells, including a stint at English League One side Blackpool, before returning to Belgium for spells at Sint-Truiden, Mechelen and Eupen.

“After I signed for Norwich I went back out on loan again to get to get some more game time and experience. Now I am here at Hibs and ready to give everything.”
