Following the launch of the FC Edinburgh and Hibernian FC partnership, it was announced that Brydon would link up with the Citizens for the upcoming campaign.
The 18-year-old centre-back spent six months on loan with the Meadowbank-based club last season and helped them to promotion to the third-tier of Scottish football.
As FC Edinburgh make the next step in terms of competitive football, so does Jack as he gears up to have an even stronger campaign than last season at a higher level.
When speaking to Hibs TV at the launch event of the FC Edinburgh and Hibernian FC partnership, Maybury explained how pleased he was to add Brydon to his squad.
“It was unfortunate at the end of last season because Jack had an injury when I came in, so I wasn’t able to get the best out of him, but he was there every day and itching to be part of it.
“We’re delighted to get him back for the upcoming season. We had to wait because he went away with the First Team at Hibs.
“We got him back in this week and there’s little details that I’ve noticed in training so far; the line he takes, how aggressive he is – and I don’t just mean from a physical point, it’s about how he plays and approaches the game – and the attributes he has will be a big plus for us this season.”
Alongside gaining regular First Team football with FC Edinburgh, Jack will continue to work with Steve Kean's Development Squad as he progresses as a young footballer.
