The Australian U23 international, joined the Hibees this summer and has settled well into life in Scotland.
Speaking after our 1-0 win over Norwich City in our final pre-season friendly, Lewis told us how much he was enjoying his time at the Club.
“I love it here, the football is a lot different to Australia. The tempo is really quick and the game is a lot more physical as well. Every team you play against give it their all and is always up for it.
“You have a lot less time on the ball so you need to be quick in your decision-making both on and off the ball – so it is a lot more physically and mentally draining than in Australia.”
Lewis played 70 minutes against Norwich City as Lee Johnson changed things up at half-time – making eight changes to his side at the break to freshen things up.
Several Development Squad players were involved in the second half, with Dylan Tait, Runar Hauge, Kyle McClelland, Allan Delferrière, Oscar MacIntyre, Jacob Blaney and Robbie Hamilton all getting more First Team minutes under their belt.
Miller insists the extra competition for places is improving the standard of the squad. He said:
“Norwich were a good, competitive side today and we were able to hold them off in both halves, with two relatively different sides.
“Since I have come in, everyone has been really competitive in training and is fighting for a starting spot. Whenever you get your chance on the pitch, you have to give it your all.
"With the season starting next week, we are all very excited to get going and everyone is fighting to secure their place in the starting XI and kick on from there."
