Earlier this season we launched our very own lottery, the Leith Lotto, a brand-new fundraiser that raises money for the Club whilst also giving our supporters the chance to win fantastic prizes, including £25,000 in cash!

On the first round of the Leith Lotto, 28 prizes were given away and one lucky winner won the £25,000 jackpot back in September.

The Leith Lotto aims to support the next generation of Academy prospects at HTC, from the Development Squad through to the U11s.

Over the years the Hibernian Academy has a fantastic history of producing top quality Scottish players. Notable names include Kenny Miller, Steven Whittaker, Scott Brown, Garry O’Connor, Derek Riordan and Steven Fletcher.

More recently, current First Team players Paul Hanlon, Lewis Stevenson, Josh Doig, Ryan Porteous, Josh Campbell and Kevin Dabrowski have all come through the Hibernian youth ranks.

This season the Wee Hibees have been in fine form, with Gareth Evans' side currently unbeaten in the CAS U18 Elite Youth League. There have been several standout players from the U18s throughout the season, with Josh O'Connor, Jacob Blaney and Oscar MacIntyre all meriting a call up to the First Team squad following their performances this season.

In addition, there have been several international call-ups from the Academy lads this month. Hibs goalkeeper Murray Johnson was selected for the Scotland U19s squad, Ethan Laidlaw was picked for the U17s and Academy graduates Josh Doig and Josh Campbell were called up for the U21s, further demonstrating the success of the Academy and the role it plays in developing the next set of young talents!

HOW IT WORKS

Tickets for the Leith Lotto have been selling well this season, with over £27,000 being raised so far.

Tickets cost just £1 with 60% of every ticket going directly to support the Hibernian FC Academy.

The draw takes place every Saturday at 8pm!
