MANAGER’S NOTES

Dean Gibson has shared his thoughts ahead of the game against Partick and is looking forward to once again playing at Easter Road.

“Sunday’s win was pleasing, winning the derby is a good feeling and fortunately one we have got used to! That’s us won the last five now. There’s a lot of pressure on these games so the players deserve a lot of credit for the way they performed on Sunday.

“We are feeling good, we have played well the last two fixtures and scored a lot of goals while not conceding many. We want to try and replicate the performance again tonight, but the most important thing is picking up three points.

“We expect an extremely tough challenge tonight. Partick’s league position doesn’t replicate how hard an opponent they are. They play with a lot of energy and aggression and have a couple of match-winners in their squad. We need to be at our very best tonight.

“Easter Road is a special place to play football but it also comes with pressure, you don’t want to lose any game but particularly these ones! We feel honoured and privileged to be playing another league game at the stadium and we hope to put on another show.”

Alexa Coyle, who scored once already at Easter Road this season when Hibernian Women defeated Hearts Women 3-0, will be looking to do so again when Partick Thistle visit on Wednesday.

“As a striker, I am always so pleased to get on the scoresheet, and to contribute to our third derby win of the season on Sunday was a special occasion!

“We are expecting a hard-fought game on Wednesday, but as always we are focused on our play and game plan for the match!

“I am very looking forward to playing at Easter Road again! It is an amazing pitch, stadium, and atmosphere!

“We are feeling excited and ready to go!”
