Clarke joined on loan from Arsenal FC in January but he had to wait until March for his First Team debut after suffering a hamstring injury only a few days after joining.

The 21-year-old scored on his debut for the Club against Dundee United and has impressed the fans with his performances on the pitch in green and white.

Clarke has played every minute for the Hibees since returning from injury and the defender hoping to finish the season as strongly as possible before starting a-fresh next season.

"It has been a kick in the teeth getting injured so soon after I joined Hibs.

"But it has been nice being back playing and getting a run of games in the team. I think I have played seven games on the bounce which has been really good for me.

"I am here for another year so I am looking to build on this run and really hit the ground running next season."

Clarke signed on an 18 month loan from The Gunners and is looking forward to getting a full pre-season under his belt before starting the new campaign.

"There are an amazing bunch of boys here who have really helped me get settled.

"I haven't trained as much as I would've liked this season so it will be good to get a full pre-season in and then hopefully we can do something special next season."

After our 1-1 draw with Aberdeen on Saturday, we play Dundee on Tuesday night before our final match of the season; at home to St Johnstone on Sunday. Clarke is looking to finish the season on a high.

"We can take some confidence from the weekend, it was disappointing to go 1-0 down but the boys showed character to get back into the game and we could've taken all three points.

"We haven't scored enough goals all season which has been a theme for us really but the promising thing is the chances are there and I am sure it will click for us.

"Dundee are fighting relegation so we know they have everything to play for. They have some good quality in certain areas so we need to nullify them and make sure we are at our best to beat them."
