Johnson was confirmed as Hibernian FC Manager earlier this afternoon, putting pen-to-paper and signing on a four-year deal with the Club.
At the age of 40, Johnson already has over 450 games under his belt having enjoyed spells in the English Football League with Oldham, Barnsley, Bristol City and Sunderland.
Across his time down south, Johnson's style of play caught the eye of many, including Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola, who praised the Englishman for his front-foot approach in games.
Speaking to Hibs TV, Johnson told us how he hopes to bring that aggressive, forward-thinking brand of football to Easter Road. He said:
"As a Manager, I like to turn up the attacking dial during the game and I want to play a high-tempo brand of football.
"Whatever formation we play, I will make sure my team is consistent in our playing style - aggressive and on the front foot.
"What you will get from me is I will try and win every game, I guarantee you that. Sometimes to our detriment, but I guarantee you we will go to the big boys, be aggressive and try to win every football match."

Johnson joins the Hibees at a crucial time for the Club. The timing of the appointment gives the new Manager a full month to settle, assess his squad and make changes accordingly before a full pre-season camp begins in June.
“I felt connected to the Hibs project very quickly. I am looking forward to getting stuck in and embedding the process.
"We’ve got a team of players that naturally fit my style and of course we are going to have to recruit to try and enhance that.
"You’ve got to engage players, make them feel wanted and valued and you’ve got to make them believe in that playing style. Whatever happens we must compete and compete at the top end of the table."
