Over 4,000 Hibees watched on as former Easter Road heroes graced the pitch once more for the charity match, raising vital funds for the Hanlon Stevenson Foundation.
On the pitch, the talent included members from the famous cup-winning triumphs of the 1991 Skol Cup, the 2007 League Cup and the 2016 Scottish Cup.
Amongst the silverware winners, there were plenty of fans favourite who returned to Easter Road along with a selection from the prospering Hibernian FC Academy.
Speaking after the match, Lewis Stevenson – co-founder of the Hanlon Stevenson Foundation, shared his thoughts on the occasion.
“It was different to your normal day at Easter Road that is for sure – but it was a nice change", smiled Lewis.
“I was surprised by how many turned out for the occasion and how many players supported it as well.
“There was boys I’ve played with in the past, former Managers, old legends of the game too. Steve Archibald is 66 I think and he still looked like a class act and was moving really well.

“The game was a decent standard, there were some top-quality touches and some funny moments too. All in all, it was a great day, made even better the number of fans who turned up today.
“We are all overwhelmed by the support we’ve had from everyone. The main thing about today was to continue to try and raise money and support these charities in the local community.”
The supporters were treated to a trip down memory lane, with the Steve Archibald rolling back the years and finding the back of the net, Leigh Griffiths bagging a brace in front of the Famous Five stand and Kevin Harper on target in what was a dramatic first half. Read the full report here!

In the dugout, Scottish Cup Winning Gaffer Alan Stubbs returned to the technical area to lead the Sauzée Select, whilst Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson led the HSF Select.
“Paul was in charge of the tactics and subs. I was in charge of the team talk. It was pretty generic to be honest, ‘good luck and don’t get injured was my main message’.

“In terms of the performances, I thought Rob Jones was unbelievable, Danny Swanson was quality too. Deano was good in the middle of the park and Ivan Sproule showed he still has his pace.
"There were some great displays on show – in the end I think a draw is a fair result as everyone goes home happy!"
