Two first-half strikes from Rhys Breen and Taylor Sutherland secured the points for the visitors in the cinch Reserve Cup group stage match.
With Murray Aiken, Jacob Blaney and Murray Johnson all away on international duty, Steve Kean reshuffled his starting XI for the Dev Squad's first domestic game since October.
Kevin Dabrowski started in goal behind a back four of Josh McCulloch, Kanyo Megwa, Darren McGregor and Oscar MacIntyre.
João Baldé, Robbie Hamilton, Malek Zaid and Owen Hastie made up the midfield with Ethan Laidlaw playing alongside Josh O'Connor further forward.

In cold, crisp but dry conditions the Hibees got the game underway in the late December sunshine.
It was the visitors who made the better start to the contest, and took the lead just after the ten minute mark.
Rhys Breen's free-kick from the corner of the area took a wicked deflection off the wall leaving Dabrowski wrong-footed in goal as the ball trickled into the far corner.
Josh O'Connor had a chance to level things up five minutes later. The Hibs no.9 was played in down the right-hand side but with the angle against him, his effort was blocked by the Dunfermline keeper.

The Pars doubled their advantage midway inside the second half - this time through Taylor Sutherland. From a ball across the box, the striker missed his kick the first time around but reacted well, taking the ball around Dabrowski and finishing from a tight angle.
Just before the break, Ethan Laidlaw had a sight at goal. Oscar MacIntyre did well to fizz the ball into the Hibs forward at the edge of the box. Laidlaw showed good close control in a tight area and beat his man but fired his effort just over the bar.
Reuben McAllister, Emmanuel Johnson and Rudi Molotnikov all came on in the second half as Steve Kean's side looked for a way back into the game.
But the visitors kept the Hibees chances to a minimum in the second forty-five as the conditions began to turn with the mist replacing the earlier sunshine.
Laidlaw nearly pulled one back as the game progressed into injury time. He met Kanayo Megwa's cross but effort clipped the crossbar on its way over.
