Magennis featured for the first time in over a year last weekend - coming off the bench for the final 10 minutes over our 2-0 win over Ross County.
It has been a torrid twelve months for Magennis who suffered a double injury blow that has kept him out of action since September 2021.
Speaking to Hibs TV, Kyle admitted it has been a tricky year but is excited to be back playing in green and white.
"It has been a difficult year I am not going to lie. I have been injured twice, but finally got myself back fit from a groin injury and then I got injured in a bounce game.
"It has been tough to take but I have a good family behind me who have supported me, and all the staff at the Club and my teammates have been brilliant with me along the way and have kept me going.
"I was buzzing to get on last weekend up in Dingwall. It just felt like home again - to come on and be back playing football is all you want to do when you are out injured so it was brilliant to get back out there. It was great to be out there in front of the fans who have stuck by me.

"I am feeling good in training, the Gaffer wouldn't have brought me off the bench if he didn't think I was ready for it. I am feeling fit and I am ready to go."
Kyle has played in several bounce games in the lead-up to his return in Dingwall last weekend and is in contention to feature again this weekend as Motherwell visit Easter Road. The creative midfielder told us he is relishing the prospect of playing in front of the home fans again.
"We know Motherwell are a good side, they've just won 5-0 in midweek so we know it will be a tough game. But we are in good form, we have won our last three matches and are confident heading into the game on Saturday.
"We are wanting to make Easter Road more of a fortress each game. We are confident that we can win every game at home, so we just need to keep proving that.
"It was good to get on against Ross County, but it will be great to be back in front over a home crowd this weekend."
