With a special label in the style of the Hibs third kit, the limited edition Whisky Row Smoke & Peat tops off the Edinburgh firm’s debut team of premium keepsakes, each with its own distinctive style and flavour.
Like the other two star-studded releases in the series, the blended malt is available in 350 individually numbered bottles and has been housed in a unique presentation box by Gleann Mòr, who are the Scottish Premiership side’s official spirits partner.
Following the success of the Whisky Row set, the company is now planning further Hibs special releases, with the promise of more exclusive spirits in the pipeline.
Gleann Mòr Spirits Manager Greg Urquhart said: “We are thrilled to complete our first Hibs hat-trick in style with this latest special edition of Whisky Row.
“Each of the three collectible Hibs whiskies in the set has its own distinctive character, playing to individual strengths and offering a perfect choice of flavours for every palate.
“This last instalment in the series appears in the team’s third strip to continue the theme and emphasise that it is completely different to the first two releases. It will now sit proudly in any drinks cabinet alongside its team-mates, with more special Hibs releases to come.”
Naturally coloured, and with no chill filtering, the third 46% ABV dram is an expert blend of premium peated single malts from the finest distilleries around Scotland. Its release follows the launch of special Hibs editions of Whisky Row Smooth & Sweet and Whisky Row Rich & Spicy earlier this year, with labels that matched the team’s 2022/23 home and away kits.
Mr Urquhart added: “With this first collectors’ set, we wanted to create a unique souvenir for Hibs fans and whisky enthusiasts alike, and we are absolutely delighted with the result – Hibs is already world renowned for its Famous Five and this is our Tremendous Trio!
“If people do want to complete their collection, we do have an extremely limited number of Smooth & Sweet and Rich & Spicy Hibs editions left, but they are going fast and we would urge them to act quickly if they want to net all three.”
As well as the Whisky Row set, the partnership between Hibs and Gleann Mòr will see the company issue bespoke other single cask editions on its Rare Find label, with the firm’s Leith Spirits range also being served to hospitality guests on match days at Easter Road.
