The duo were injured in the match against Spartans several weeks ago but are progressing well and they are both expected to return to training within the fortnight.

'Ava Kuyken is doing really well. Hopefully she’ll be back doing contact training in the next 7 days. Liana Hinds is just a little bit behind. With Ava training next week, we’re hopeful that Liana will be in the week after that.'

'They’re both progressing well, but Ava is slightly ahead of Liana.'

The manager also provided an update on Rachael Boyle and Ailey Tebbett, as they look to make their comebacks later down the line.

‘Rachael is still doing her recovery and her process, Ailey is still in her rehab process, but we’ve got nothing fresh. Everyone that was fit for the Hamilton match is still good to go.’

Preparing for the match, Gibson has treated the match like any other league meeting.

‘It’s been the same as any other game. We know the challenge we’re up against. You don’t go a full season unbeaten, and they’ve only added to what they had last year with new players this year.’

‘It’s going to be a difficult game, but we treat every opposition the same way, so this will be no different and hopefully that will set us up nicely.’

With the opposition unbeaten in the league and yet to concede a goal, the gaffer is confident this could drive his team on to create an upset.

‘It gives you that little bit of motivation, you want to be one of the teams to change that record, but at the same time they’re unbeaten for a reason and they’re very good at what they do, but we’re confident that with the players we’ve got, and the game plan we have that we can take something from the game.’

With 4 of his players returning from international duty, Gibson also praised the efforts of his players while away from the club.

‘England results and Cyprus results were positive, so those players have come back full of confidence. Eilidh’s also played against top nations, so they’ll all come back sharp and ready.

Dean Gibson also issued another rallying call to the Hibs supporters. Asking them to turn up in their numbers and show their support at Meadowbank on Sunday, his message was simple.

‘We need them.’

‘The attendances at Meadowbank have been excellent. With every game the stand is almost full. We feel their presence, they’ve been vocal, they’ve been loud and that’s what we want. We would love the fans to come out and watch the game, and I’m sure they’ll see a quality game of football.’
