With the result lifting Hibs into 5th place in the SWPL, and after grabbing the opening goal which came after a brief period of unconvincing results for her personally, Adams sought a remedy to regain belief in her ability.

‘It was a want and need to score. It was a really good feeling and really helped my confidence’

The number 9 was also hasty to mention the positivity that radiated from her teammates after the final whistle.

‘On Sunday we never got the result we wanted but something definitely clicked, and I think that showed again tonight with the togetherness of the squad and willingness to fight.’

‘Everyone is really happy, but we need to make sure that we’re consistently doing that, and it’s not just a one off.’

With the team currently riding on a high after today’s result, an opportunity to create momentum comes in the form of Kilmarnock, in a Sky Sports Cup at Rugby Park. The young striker cannot wait to experience the atmosphere that a Premiership stadium brings.

‘It’s another massive game, probably our biggest game of the season, mainly because you only get one shot at the cup – so we’ll be looking forward to it and it gives us another good chance to progress further.’

‘It’ll be another good experience and hopefully we can get another good crowd along, with the supporters cheering us on.’
