THE LOWDOWN

Hibs Women take on Kilmarnock Women this Sunday (kick-off 14:00) in the quarter-finals of the Sky Sports Cup.

The Hibees have an excellent record in this competition and a win for Dean Gibson’s side on Sunday would see them reach yet another semi-final.

In the last round of the competition, Hibs Women secured an emphatic 8-0 win over Hamilton, with Crystal Thomas netting an impressive hat-trick.

Gibson’s side come into this match in good form after putting on a strong display against Rangers last Sunday and picking up three points over Aberdeen on Wednesday evening.

THE OPPOSITION

Kilmarnock Women currently sit 4th in the SWPL 2 table, with two wins, three draws, and one loss in the league so far.

To make it to the quarter-finals of the Sky Sports Cup, Stewart Hall’s side secured a 2-0 victory over SWPL 2 league leaders Gartcairn at The BBSP Stadium, Rugby Park in the second round.

Before that, Kilmarnock Women knocked St Johnstone Women out of the Cup in the first round after defeating the side 5-4 on penalties (2-2 after extra time).
