Born in Udrytsk – a small village in the North-West of Ukraine – Kukharevych began his career at Volyn Lutsk, 150 miles south of his hometown.

After coming through the youth system at Volyn Lutsk, the striker made the switch to Rukh Lviv where he made his senior debut towards the end of the 2019/20 season – helping his side achieve promotion to the Ukrainian top-flight scoring twice in six games.

The following season, Kukharevych added another two goals in 18 matches playing in the top division of Ukrainian football.

In the summer of 2021, at the age of 20, Mykola moved to Ligue 1 side Troyes on a five-year deal. Just after the French outfit joined as part of the City Group.

The Ukrainian international featured twice for Troyes coming off the bench against PSG and Strasbourg at the start of the season before heading out on loan to Belgian side Oud-Heverlee (OH) Leuven.

The powerful target-man made six appearances in the Jupiler Pro League during the 2021/22 campaign, before adding another four league appearances this season.

Kukharevych also has international experience under his belt. He has featured 12 times for the Ukrainian U21 national side, scoring three times for his country – including a brace against Malta U21 during their UEFA U21 Euro qualifying campaign.

Now, the 21-year-old will join up with the Hibees for the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign on a season-long deal, pending international clearance and work permit approval.
