Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II last weekend’s games were cancelled, which means that Johnson has had longer on the training pitch with his players.
Equally, it has given a number of players the chance to return!
“We’ve got a few players back in,” said our Manager. “Lewis Stevenson came on in the last game and has had another good week.
“Kyle Magennis has been training extremely well and consistently, even though he needs a little more time. There’s a lot of positivity in that one.
“A couple of the knocks we had going into the Dundee United game have now gone and the boys are ready to go.”
Another of those available players is new boy Mykola Kuharevich, who’s been working with the team since Wednesday. Lee Johnson explained what he adds to the squad.
“It brings us a slightly different dynamic. He’s a very talented player, he’s a good size, he’s a man in terms of his frame, and he’s got technical qualities as well.”
Johnson is still, however, without seven First Team players. One of those is Elias Melkersen, who is still returning from concussion.
“Unfortunately, Elias Melkersen isn’t quite there yet, so I think this game will come a little too early after his concussion. Obviously, Harry McKirdy is suspended too.”
