A number of exciting young talents are being exposed to senior football, alongside training at HTC, to enhance their development and they’re reaping the rewards!

In total there are currently 10 Hibees out on loan, so here’s a look at how they’ve been performing.

Christian Doidge

After making the summer loan switch to Kilmarnock, Christian Doidge made his debut for the Club last weekend.

He featured for 90 minutes as Derek McInnes’ side lost 1-0 to Livingston away from home.

His Killie side currently sit 11th in the Scottish top-flight with four points from their first seven league games.

Daniel MacKay

Dan MacKay has impressed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle since making the loan switch in the summer and is certainly benefitting from regular game time.

Usually utilised down the left hand-side for the Caley Jags, MacKay has been a constant threat contributing to six goals in 12 games this season – one goal, five assists.

His first goal for the Club came against Livingston in the Premier Sports Cup, whilst three of his assists have come in his last two league outings.

Inverness CT are currently fourth in the Scottish Championship.

Kyle McClelland

Young defender Kyle McClelland made his debut for Cove Rangers this weekend coming off the bench in their 2-2 draw with Partick Thistle

The centre-back replaced Scott Ross at half-time as Jim McIntyre’s men picked up a valuable point away from home.

Kyle will be looking to gain regular senior football and help Cove progress up the Scottish Championship. They currently sit ninth with five points.

Dylan Tait

After making the loan switch to Arbroath, Dylan Tait has been a regular for Dick Campbell’s men.

Utilised in his usual central midfielder role, the youngster has made two appearances so far this season and performed well in their 2-1 away win over Morton last weekend.

Arbroath currently sit bottom of the cinch Championship with five points.

Runar Hauge and Steven Bradley

Runar Hauge and Steven Bradley suffered FAI Cup heartbreak with Dundalk last weekend as they were beaten in the last eight of the competition 3-2 by Waterford.

Bradley (below) has virtually been ever-present for the Railwaymen this season and has gone from strength to strength. Usually operating on the right-wing, Bradley has made 30 appearances, scoring six goals and setting up a further seven minutes for his teammates.

Hauge (below), who joined Stephen O'Donnell’s men this summer, has mainly appeared on the left-wing for the Irish side and made seven appearances so far.

Dundalk currently sit third in the League of Ireland Premier Division, six points behind leaders Shamrock Rovers.

Jack Brydon, Allan Delferrière and Emmanuel Johnson

Jack Brydon returned from injury last weekend to play a full 90 at centre-back as FC Edinburgh were beaten by Queen of the South. That was Jack’s eighth appearance of the season as exposure to senior football develops his game.

Allan Delferrière also started for Alan Maybury’s men on Saturday in what was his sixth appearance of the campaign. Allan has been operating in a deeper, more defensive midfield role but has got one assist to his name, which came in a 2-0 win over Clyde.

Finally, Emmanuel Johnson – who was an unused sub for FC Edinburgh against Queen of the South – has made five appearances for the Club this season. Usually featuring down the right-hand side, the quick American also has one assist to his name; that came in a 6-0 demolition over Airdrieonians.

FC Edinburgh currently sit fourth in cinch League 1 with 12 points from their first seven league games.

Joao Balde

Joao Balde (below left) is another young player that saw a step up in his football this season as he regular tests himself in cinch League 2.

The midfielder, who has been playing on the right-side for East Fife since his summer switch, has made eight appearances so far this season. Joao currently has one assist to his name, which came against Forfar Athletic.

East Fife currently sit fourth in the fourth-tier of Scottish football with 11 points from eight games.
