Sauzée will make his first return to the Easter Road turf since he left the Club in 2002.
Ahead of our cinch Premiership tie with Motherwell, Sauzée will deliver the match ball before kick-off so we urge supporters to arrive in their seats early to give ‘Le God’ the welcome he deserves.

In what is bound to be an exciting reunion, Franck will also unveil the ‘Oor Franckie’ model – our very own ‘Oor Wullie’ model that was donated to the Hanlon Stevenson Foundation and painted in an iconic late 1990s Hibs strip and christened ‘Oor Franckie’ in honour of Sauzée himself.

The model will be exhibited at Easter Road, along with a ‘Friends of Oor Franckie’ display board, recognising the generous donations from supporters to the Hanlon Stevenson Foundation.
The Return of 'Le God'
Sauzée made 90 appearances in green and white after joining from Montpellier in 1999.
The classy operator certainly lived up to his reputation having joined with four Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France, a Ligue 2 championship, a Champions League winners medal and 40 international caps for France to his name!
Instantly a fan favourite, he was nicknamed ‘Le God’ by the Easter Road faithful and he didn’t disappoint during his three seasons with the Club.

He captained the Hibees, scoring 16 goals from centre-back and helped Hibs win promotion back to the top-flight in 1998/99, before playing a key role in the Hibs team that finished 3rd in the league under Alex McLeish.
Sauzée is excited to return to Easter Road.
“I look forward to visiting Edinburgh in a few weeks' time when I will be unveiling “Oor Franckie” as well as presenting the match ball at the Motherwell match, which coincides with the announcement of an exciting fundraising event for Hanlon Stevenson Foundation," he said.
In addition, Sauzée will visit HTC in the week leading up to the game to meet the Manager, players and coaching staff ahead of another important cinch Premiership clash.
