After featuring in four Scotland camps and making 14 appearances for the Scotland U21s, Ryan Porteous will make his first senior Scotland cap later this evening when Scotland face Ukraine.

Since making his Hibs debut aged 18 in July 2017, Ryan has gone on to make 142 appearances, scoring 10 goals so far for the Hibees.

Now at 23 years old, Porto has matured as a footballer over the years and his progression is there for all to see.

We took a closer look at some of his impressive statistics in the last three years.

Since the beginning of the 2021/22 season up until now, Porteous is the top-ranking centre-back for ball recoveries and fouls won.

Not only has Porteous been impressive in defence, but he has demonstrated an eye for a pass and launching attacks himself. The ball-playing defender also tops the charts in terms of successful progressive passes and successful switch passes.

Amongst all centre-backs in the cinch Premiership Porto ranks second for; counter pressures, successful passes under pressure and pass % under pressure.

He makes the top three centre backs for; successful tackles, dribbles completed, aerial success and carries into the final third.
