The Hibs Dev Squad signed off their cinch Reserve League campaign in style with a comprehensive 6-0 thrashing of Queen of the South on Tuesday evening. Read the match report here!
That win secured the cinch Reserve League title - rounding off an unbeaten season which saw the Hibees win seven games, draw twice and score 21 goals in the process.
Speaking to hiberninfc.co.uk Kean hopes this latest triumph will help spur the lads onto greater success in the future - with the overall aim to break into the First Team squad.
“Any competition that you are involved in is always worth winning. It’s a great achievement and hopefully, this will give them an appetite to win more medals and trophies as they get closer to the First Team.
“This league is all about the player's development. As they get closer to the First Team, the lads need to know how to win games, they need to know how to manage games and how to react to different situations.
“You can see the understanding this group has. You saw that when they won the U18 League last season and earlier this year in the UEFA Youth League campaign.
"Everyone knows each other’s strengths and they have a good connection with each other. Having Darren Mcgregor helps holds us all together and then the likes of Kyle McClelland and Allan Delferrière have been excellent when they have played - it’s a good group who performed very well tonight and across the course of this season."
There were six different scorers on the night - with Allan Delferriere, Jacob MacIntyre, Murray Aiken and Darren McGregor all on target in the first half before Malik Zaid and Josh O’Connor added further gloss to the performance in the second 45.

“If you look at chances created today, we probably could’ve scored more if I am honest. The defensive discipline was brilliant today as it has been all season. We are really good at winning the ball back, winning our second balls and building plenty of attacks from the back.
“It was near enough a complete performance, we kept a clean sheet - we started well and we scored several goals.
“I think there was only 10 minutes where we were a bit sluggish - but aside from that, we kept our focus and we were outstanding.”
