The Hibees Pride group has been shortlisted in the best Charity/Group Initiative award category which recognises the groups and campaigns working to enact change and create support for the LGBTQI+ community.
This nomination follows the group’s most recent recognition at the Football vs Homophobia Awards in February earlier this year.
The group – which was formed in Spring 2022 – has made huge progress over the last 12 months and continues to go from strength to strength.
Since starting up, the supporter-led group have appeared on national TV and radio to discuss the inclusion of LGBTQI+ community sport, challenged various issues on homophobia in football and took part in the Edinburgh Pride festival last summer.

The group will once again be present at the Edinburgh Pride festival this year which takes place on Saturday 24 June, 2023.
Hibees Pride have also been extremely proactive in working with Hibernian FC, working closely with the Club to make Easter Road a welcome place for all football fans. The group have helped shaped various activations with the Club and were prominent in the 2022/23 home kit launch.
Julie Cuthbertson from the Hibees Pride group commented: "Everyone connected with Hibees Pride is delighted and honoured to be nominated for this award alongside so many amazing groups.
"Thank you to everyone that has connected with and supported the group over the last year in our aim to make Scottish football a welcoming experience for the LGBTQI+ community."
The awards ceremony takes place in Glasgow on Saturday 3 June 2023!
