Spirits are high in the Hibs camp after Thursday night’s impressive 3-1 win over FC Luzern as the players prepare for a quick turnaround in fixtures.

With just three days between the two games, the players are focused on Motherwell as they look to gain their first league win of the campaign.

When speaking to Hibs TV ahead of this one, Miller explained the importance of the players’ mentality.

“With the players we have and the experience we have in the team, like Paul (Hanlon) and Stevo (Lewis Stevenson), and especially Joe (Newell) as well, they can get us in the right headspace and the right mind frame.

“Our pure focus is for this Sunday against Motherwell. It was unfortunate last week, but I think we’re ready to bounce back in the league with a win.

“You always want to go out there and get three points. We had a bit of a rocky start but coming off that game (Luzern), against great opposition, we’re in the right mind frame and I think we're ready to go and get a win for the fans and for ourselves, individually.”

Motherwell drew their opening game of the season away at Dundee, and our Australian right-back expects a tricky game on Sunday.

“They’re going to be physical; I'm assuming they’re going to be quite direct as well.

“They’ve made a few new signings and I think the competition in this league is just going to improve and improve, so we’re going to have to adapt to them, do some video analysis, and I think we’ll always be ready for whoever we play against.”
