The forward spoke after the game and was delighted to score on her first start since her return from injury.
“It was a great feeling, but I’m happy to contribute to the team and help them get the three points.
“We were really good, especially in the first half. It was a really positive performance, and although we didn’t play as well in the second half, it’s a great result going into the New Year.”

With Kirsty's previous injury forcing her onto the side-lines, she hopes the dedication she's shown to getting back onto the pitch will hold her in good stead for the year ahead.
“There’s been a lot of work and help from the staff but I’m just happy to be back on the pitch and contribute with any goals. 2023 has been mixed for me, obviously being injured isn’t ideal but now but coming back into the squad is a real positive and getting the win is a real good year-ender for us.”
“We’ll get some time before the New Year, but we have to continue what we’re doing and work hard. If we do that then the positive results will continue into the New Year!”
