Scott spoke after the match and felt particularly fulfilled with his side’s work ethic.
“I said to the girls that I thought even the substitutes made a huge impact, just when it looked to be getting a little bit flat. Collectively it was also a really good reaction following the disappointment last week. I was proud of them today.”
“The team talk at halftime was probably the easiest I’ve ever had. It was a free and fluid performance and I couldn't have asked for more. There were a couple of opportunities that we gave to Aberdeen with some casual play from us, but I was pretty happy. We just asked the girls to give us more of the same in the second half.”

Having a day less than usual to prepare for the lengthy trip northward, the manager also praised his players for remaining committed and focused.
“We’ve been professional all week. We respect the nature of football, and it was probably the right thing to come here on a Saturday, but you’ve got to commend the players for getting on with the job at hand. It’s a great show of character from them today.”
On preparing for the New Year, Grant insisted his players will need to maintain their professionalism and attitude throughout the festive period.
“We’ll give them some time off, but we’ll keep them ticking over. We’ve made good strides in the last few months and the momentum we’re generating has been really positive. We’ll ask the girls to be mindful of that but we’ve got a professional group and they’ll all look after themselves.”
