The Hibees climbed up to fifth in the cinch Premiership with a narrow victory over the Buddies in Paisley.
Élie Youan’s late strike proved to be the difference between the sides in what was a tight battle from the first whistle to the last.
Speaking to Hibs TV after the match, Lewis Stevenson shared his thoughts on the performance.
“It’s a great win, they have a great record here at home so we knew it was going to be a tough game.
“We did a lot of work on them before the game and we knew it was going to be a battle. To be honest, the game could’ve gone either way, but it was a bit of magic that made the difference. It was a great pass from Hendo and a great finish from Élie.
Both sides had to battle, the wind and the rain in Paisley, but it was the Hibees who came out on top with another important win – extending our unbeaten run in the cinch Premiership to five matches.
Stevenson insists momentum is building in the right direction.
“We got a good taste for the conditions in Dingwall, it was very similar conditions tonight. The weather meant that it wasn’t the best game at times, but when we did get our foot on the ball we looked good.
“Most importantly, we’ve got another clean sheet and that built the foundation for the team to kick on from. We have a lot of flair players, that can cause a lot of problems and they did again today.
“We have been frustrated this season because there have been a few games that could’ve gone either way.
"But, we’re beginning to click now, I still think there is room for improvement but we have a good foundation to build from.”
