The midfielder’s new contract will run until 2025.

McAlonie joined Hibs Women in the summer of 2021 from Spartans and has since become a vital player in Dean Gibson’s side.

An all-round midfielder, McAlonie has the ability to do the dirty work at the back but is also capable of creating goal-scoring opportunities and netting goals at the other end of the field.

One of the key elements to McAlonie’s game is her versatility as she can be relied on to deliver a great performance in a variety of positions across the midfield.

Speaking on her new deal, McAlonie stated: “I'm really excited to be extending my contract with this amazing football club."

"The club has big ambitions and it's definitely something that I want to be a part of. I've loved my time at Hibs so far and can't wait for the future."

Dean Gibson also commented on Michaela's new contract saying: "Micky signing an extension is a huge boost for everyone at Hibs and again highlights where we are going as a club.

We want to keep our players here for the long haul and we've got ourselves into a position where we are able to do so. We keep banging on about consistency and the start to that is continuity around the playing squad.

As a player, Micky is only 21, but she’s already played a huge number of games in the SWPL. She has continued to get better all the time during her period at us. The next step is to try and break into the national squad, I believe this is the right club for her to do it.

I am delighted for Micky on a personal note, to have her here until 2025, is a long-term contract, particularly in the women's game. I’m sure together we can achieve our goals year after year both individually and as a squad."
