THE LOWDOWN

Dean Gibson’s side are back in action this weekend as they host East Fife at Meadowbank Stadium, kick-off 4:00pm in the fifth round of the Scottish Women’s Cup.

This will be the Hibees’ second match in the competition this season, having already beaten Spartans 3-0 on January 8th in the fourth round.

Despite the recent loss to Rangers Women in the SWPL 1, Hibs Women have made an excellent start to 2023 and will be looking to keep up their good form with a win at the weekend to advance further in the Scottish Women’s Cup.

THE OPPOSITION

East Fife play their trade in the SWPL 2 and are currently bottom of the table.

To advance to the fifth round of the Scottish Women’s Cup, East Fife secured an emphatic 6-2 victory over Grampian.

A player to watch from East Fife on Sunday is Maya Knight, who bagged a brace against Grampian in the previous round.
