Two strikes from Kevin Nisbet saw Hibs come from behind on two occasions as a 90-minute goal rescued a point in Edinburgh.

When speaking to Hibs TV after the match, Johnson gave his thoughts on the performance.

“I’m pleased and proud of the boys for going until the end. It was a difficult environment in terms of the pitch, being a goal down in the second half, and Dundee United sitting deep inside their own half. The boys kept going until the end.

“Nizzy scored two great goals, so that’s five in two games, and that’s really important.

“First 10 minutes we were idle, we didn’t get in behind, pass forward, turn the opposition, and they hustled and harried. We made a couple of mistakes and that gave them momentum.

“The first goal was a really poor one to concede, it was from a throw-in, we lost a runner, and then he cut inside and scored. We changed the shape, got an instant response, and scored, which was good.

“At 1-1 we felt like we could build some momentum, but then conceded another poor goal. The lads know that the goals we conceded were poor, so they’re taking responsibility and accountability for that.

“Like I say, in the end, we’ve gone for it with four forwards on the pitch, and Nizzy’s good finish bailed us out.

“I’m holding my hands up and saying we’ve got to be better, but the point could be really important come the end of the season and it keeps us in that top six mix.”
