Hibs started the match the brighter of the two sides, with Adams having a pop at goal within the opening minute. Played in by McAlonie from the halfway line, the attacker broke through the defence, and her effort was pushed away by the Partick goalkeeper.
Hibs would grab the opening goal on 9 minutes, and our number 11 would be the first on the scoresheet. A corner from Eddie on the far side would fall at the back post to Murray. Sending the ball back into the penalty area, Nor would rise highest to head home into the bottom corner.

Katie Lockwood would then grab goal number two in a similar fashion just after 21 minutes. A training ground set-piece would see Eddie gifted with plenty of space on the right flank, her inch-perfect cross fell to Lockwood, and her resultant header nestled in the back of the net.
Lucy Parry would have a chance to make it 3-0 on 25 minutes. A low cut-back across the face of goal from Notley found the Liverpool loanee in the area, but her effort was gathered low by Cunningham.
Calls for a Hibs penalty shortly before half-time would be waved away by the referee after Lockwood was brought down by Cunningham in the area. This would prove to be the final opportunity in the first half.

With no opportunities presenting themselves within the opening minutes of the restart, it would take some time before Hibs managed to regain their attacking grove. Lockwood would have the first opportunity in the second half after 60 minutes. Her close-range header failed to beat the Partick ‘keeper this time round.
The first substitute of the day would see Kirsty Morrison replace Shannon McGregor on 62 minutes.
Rosie Livingstone would then replace Katie Lockwood a minute later.
Eilidh Adams would grab Hibs’ third on 66 minutes. Seeing an opening, her pop from range was driven into the bottom corner after she was spotted in a promising position by Michaela McAlonie.

With conditions deteriorating, the weather would play its part in the final stages of the match. Kirsty Morrison, from an acute angle and aided by the wind, saw her effort sail over the head of Cunningham and into the back of the Thistle net to increase the score-line further.
Leah Eddie’s corner would also be directed goal-wards thanks to the windy conditions, with Cunningham managing to tip over the bar.
This flurry of chances in the second half would continue, as the referee pointed to the spot after a foul on Rosie Livingstone. Fancying her chances, Parry stepped up, but the goalkeeper held her ground in the centre of the goal and saved the penalty.
A final, double change for Hibs would see Nor and Adams make way for Hunter and Kuyken.
Substitute Livingstone have a final chance to increase the winning margins on 89 minutes. Her effort from the edge of the area would be tipped onto the post.
After 4 minutes of additional time, the Hibee’s would see the game out, securing a well-deserved victory.
