The defender came on with around 12 minutes remaining as the Hibees battled out a 1-1 draw with Ross County at the Global Energy Stadium.
It was a real taste for what’s to come for the youngster as he had to battle the blustery conditions and handle a physical Ross County outfit.
When speaking to Hibs TV, he explained how much he learned from that test.
“It was a good night to come on and make my debut,” he admitted. “The football was a lot different to some of the football I’ve played, but I’m taking the learnings from it.
“Hopefully it’ll improve me and make me a better player. We looked good tonight, despite the result. We can take some positives from it, but we have to keep moving forward.
“The conditions affected our decision making and what we had to do in the game, but it’s the same for both teams. You can’t use it as an excuse, you have to adapt to it.”
He’s now hoping he can build on those minutes and get regular game-time under his belt.
“To get out and get 20 minutes it was good, but I have to keep working hard in training, get to know the lads, and keep progressing on and off the pitch; that’ll help me get more games under my belt.”
