A product of the Hibernian Girls Academy, Kirsty had spent a decade in the club’s youth system before making her first-team debut as a substitute against Spartans at Ainslie Park on 10th February 2019.

Morrison would make 20 appearances in all competitions across the 2022/23 season. Starting 2023 in a fine vein of form, a sublime goal against Spartans in early January 2023 would cap off a 3-0 victory, and a particularly memorable individual performance, as Morrison played a key role in seeing the Hibees through to the next round of the Scottish Cup.

A player that has consistently produced on the pitch, Kirsty’s performances may sometimes slip under the radar, but her level-headed nature, combined with her first team minutes, means that made she has emerged as a model professional in the changing room.

While injury may have ended her 2022/23 season prematurely, Kirsty will be hoping to replicate her fine form heading into the new season.

On her new deal Kirsty said: “I’m looking forward to the next year with the club, I’ve enjoyed my time here so far and looking forward to what the future holds.

Coming through the academy, I’ve seen the club grow and become more professional, it’s great to see and I’m looking forward to being a part of it again this season.”

Hibernian Women manager, Grant Scott added: "I am pleased that Kirsty has signed a new deal with us for the forthcoming season, she is a player that I’ve worked with in the past and looking forward to working with again when she returns to full fitness.

Until she’s ready to be involved with the group on the pitch, our medical team will work closely with Kirsty to ensure her recovery and return to play is a smooth process.”
