THE LOWDOWN

The Hibees come into this one off the back of a 4-2 victory over Edinburgh City in our first pre-season outing.

Lee Johnson’s side came from two goals down with an impressive second-half performance with goals from Christian Doidge (x2), Dan MacKay adding to Elias Melkersen’s first-half header.

The Gaffer played two entirely different XI’s in each half – mixing a blend of senior players with several of the Academy youngsters. Kanayo Megwa, Owen Hastie, Rudi Molotnikov, Reuben McAllister, Oscar MacIntyre and Jacob MacIntyre were all involved alongside new signings Jordan Obita, Jojo Wollacott and Adam Le Fondre.

In terms of team news, Lee Johnson will name the travelling squad to Marbella when the team fly out on Thursday.

THE OPPOSITION

Europa FC arrived in Marbella a few days earlier than the Hibees and will play Portsmouth on Thursday 6 July in another pre-season friendly before taking on Hibs.
