Despite already confirming the news that Aiden McGeady is out for the remainder of the campaign, our Manager did have some positive news to break regarding two of his key men.
Both Kevin Nisbet and Mykola Kuharevich have been training since our win against Kilmarnock, just under two weeks ago, and could make an impact this weekend.
“Nizzy and Mykola have both been back in training for a couple of weeks and played 60 minutes in a bounce game.
“To have them back is a good force, plus the other strikers and attackers we have in the squad gives us a dangerous front-line.
“They both look really good, so no doubt they’ll be ready for the game.”

There is a further wait, though, for the return of Joe Newell and Jake Doyle-Hayes.
“Joe has had an injection so we’re waiting for a response on that; this game will come a little bit too early for him.
“Jake is in a place of frustration at the moment. Again, he’s had an injection. We’ve got to wrap around him wholistically and make sure we can get him right over a period of time.”
There may be a few other names missing from the teamsheet on Saturday, however, Johnson admitted it too early to tell at this point.
“We’ve lost a couple unfortunately. We train competitively and intensely at a high tempo, and sometimes that can lead to knocks. It’ll be touch and go with some of those guys.”
