Ethan Laidlaw’s fine form in the Hibs youth set-up, and particularly in the UEFA Youth League, has led to his first call-up to Scotland’s Under-18s set-up!

The young forward has been capped on seven occasions by Scotland at Under-17s level and scored a hat-trick on his debut against Wales back in 2021. He also featured in the UEFA U17 Euros on two occasions for the U17s.

Scotland’s Under-18s will take on Wales twice during the March international break:

Thursday 23 March, 2023 – Wales vs Scotland U18 – 6.30pm kick-off at The Globe Ground

Sunday 26 March, 2023 – Wales vs Scotland U18 – 1.30pm kick-off at Colliers Park

Jacob MacIntyre (below) and Rudi Molotnikov have both received call-ups to Scotland’s Under-17s squad for their upcoming UEFA Under-17 Euro Elite Round qualifiers.

The midfield duo have impressed in the young Scots set-up and in the Hibs Academy this season.

MacIntyre and Molotnikov (below) have each won four caps so far, contributing three and two goals respectively. Both their debuts came in October last year in a 6-0 win over Malta.

Wednesday 22 March, 2023 – Wales vs Scotland U17 – 4pm kick-off at Rodney Parade

Saturday 25 March, 2023 – Montenegro vs Scotland U17 - 1pm kick-off at Dragon Park

Tuesday 28 Match, 2023 – Iceland vs Scotland U17 - 1pm kick-off at Dragon Park

Scotland’s Under-17s qualified for the UEFA Under-17 Euro Elite Round after progession through an initial group that included the Czech Republic, Malta, and Northern Ireland. Last year the young Scots reached the final of this tournament.
