First half goals from Oscar MacIntyre, Jair Tavares and Allan Delferrière blew Accies away at New Douglas Park.
The home side did pull one back in the second half, however, it proved to be a mere consolation goal as the Hibees extended their lead at the top of the cinch Reserve League.
With Murray Johnson (U21s), Ethan Laidlaw (U18s), Rudi Molotnikov and Jacob MacIntyre (both U17) all away on international duty with Scotland, Head Coach Steve Kean made several changes to his starting XI.
There was good news for the Hibees with Harry McKirdy returning to action and getting some important minutes under his belt for the first time since suffering an ankle injury in February. Jair Tavares was also given a run out alongside McKirdy, Josh O’Connor and Malik Zaid in the further forward positions.

Chances were few and far between in the opening exchanges, but Hibs eventually took the lead just after the 20-minute mark through Oscar MacIntyre after the left back’s shot was deflected in off a red and white Hamilton jersey.
Ten minutes later we doubled our lead, this time through Jair Tavares. The winger did brilliantly to cut inside from the left before firing his effort into the bottom left-hand corner leaving the Accies ‘keeper no chance.
Moments later, Tavares turned provider – this time providing the assist for Allan Delferrière. Jair timed his pass perfectly to release Delferrière who made no mistake with his composed finish.
Cormac Daly pulled a goal back for the hosts in the second half after the midfielder took advantage of a misplaced kick from Freddie Owens to score.
Steve Kean’s side continued to push for more goals in the second period with Darren McGregor and Jacob Blaney both striking the woodwork and Harry McKirdy going close with a curling shot that flew just past the post.

In the end, three goals proved to be enough for the Hibs Dev Squad as we picked up another important three points in the cinch Reserve League.
