Following an important victory over St. Mirren last weekend, Johnson and his players are eager to maintain their momentum in the upcoming match against Aberdeen.
Our Manager gave an update on his playing squad and explained why seven members of his First Team squad featured against Newcastle this week.
“The Newcastle game was really important for the squad, not just for this weekend but for the week where we have three games in six days, as it as it gives everyone that little sharpener.
“You don’t want to be going into the Celtic or Rangers game having no match minutes for however months.
“There were some positive elements and some elements we would like to improve on, but the main thing sure is the minutes, particularly with Rocky (Bushiri).”
Mykola Kuharevich was 50/50 for our game against St Mirren last weekend, whilst Jake-Doyle-Hayes came off in that match. Johnson gave an update on them.
“We are hopeful that Mykola is good and ready to play. Jake Doyle-Hayes, due to concussion protocol, is a little bit in the balance due to the head knock he received in the last game.
“Apart from those doubts, everyone is good to go.”
