With just four games of the campaign left, the importance of each game rises as Hibs look to secure a European spot for the upcoming campaign.
Hibs, currently sitting in fifth, are looking to chase down Hearts and Aberdeen who are one point and six points, respectively, ahead at this moment in time.
Aberdeen come into this game off the back of an incredible run of results winning eight of their last 10. However, Hibs have beat them on two occasions this season.
When speaking to Hibs TV ahead of Saturday’s game, Johnson was under no illusions on how difficult this game will be.
“They’ve done really well, and you have to give credit where credit is due. I think it was seven wins on the spin, which is phenomenal at this level, before losing their last game against Rangers.
“It becomes a big game for us, there’s three points on offer, and we have a chance to close the gap and put pressure on them. They hold the cards at the moment because six points is a considerable amount of make up at this stage, but it is possible.
“We do a lot of work on our opponents, there’s no stone unturned because we have fantastic staff here that work tirelessly. The information goes to the players and then they have to produce.
“Aberdeen are a good side, but we’re a good side too. I think it’ll be a good game that’s decided by bits of individual quality.
“Both structures will battle against each other, so we need someone in a green shirt to be the hero. We’re going to do everything we can to win the game.”
