THE LOWDOWN
Hibs Women travel to Glasgow this Sunday to face Partick Thistle Women at Petershill Park (kick-off 4:10pm) in Park's Motor Group SWPL 1 action for their final match of the 2022/23 season.
The Hibees have cemented their league position, meaning regardless of the outcome of Sunday’s match, the side will finish 5th.
Sunday’s match will also mark Dean Gibson’s final game in charge of the team. Following three years in charge of the Hibees, Gibson made the decision to depart at the end of the current season.
During his time in charge of Hibernian Women, Gibson has guided the Club to two fourth place finishes in the league and played an integral role in helping move the team towards professional status.
THE OPPOSITION
Irrespective of the outcome on Sunday, Brian Graham’s side will finish the season in 6th Park’s Motor Group SWPL 1 table, as they are four points behind the Hibees. Despite this, Sunday’s clash will likely provide an entertaining match, as both sides look to end their seasons on a high note.
Partick Thistle Women and Hibs Women have met each other on three occasions thus far this season, with the Hibees picking up two wins and the sides playing out a 0-0 draw.
